TOPSHOP pretty pastels

 LOVE LOVE LOVE

The clear/ glass effect mannequins look brilliant in this visual merchandising display at Tosphop Oxford street,  so simple and effective, the mannequins showcase the pastel clothes perfectly.  The overall look is so cute, it combines winter/summer chic and adding the sunglasses give us buyers wanting to look like our fave celebs!
My favourite is the black and white leggings and pink jumper combo! effortlessly cool

As the saying goes "Make do and mend!"

Up cycling and personalising furniture is so much easier and cheaper than you think
I recently re worked this stunning set of draws from my bedroom and it was so simple.
I have used this look on bookcases and tables also, its a quick way to give old furniture a makeover.
antique furniture has an elegant style and when painted white leaves you with a lovely shabby chic look. Painting furniture often works out cheaper than furniture you will buy from high street shops and no one will ever have the same as you!!

have a go!

Annie sloan chalk and wax brilliant for any vintage look.

depending how how dark the wood is will depend on how many coats you will need - I used two for this.

handles in keeping with your look make all the difference.

set of draws from ebay £60.00 annie sloan chalk paint  approx£30.00 Wax  approx £20.00 total £110

LUSH Social Stunt!

amazing!

Jacqueline Traide a 24 year old actress was tortured, restrained and force fed in a protest against animal testing. Jacqueline endured 10 hours of experiments which included having her hair shaved and irritants squirted into her eyes - you go girl! This stunt took place at Lush regents Street store, one of the UK's busiest high streets - it was all part of a campaign by Lush and the Humane Society protesting against animal testing. Reporters explained how Jaqueline appeared genuinely terrified as she was pinned down on a bench and had her mouth stretched open with two metal hooks while a man in a white coat force-fed her until she choked and gagged. The artist was also injected with numerous needles, had her skin braised and lotions and creams smeared across her face. Passers-by were gobsmacked to see Jacqueline, a social sculpture student at Oxford Brookes University, forced to have a section of her head shaved.

I personally love social stunts I think they are so effective and have such a big impact on their audience! It definitely made me think about the cosmetics I buy!
